As a photographer and director, Matt’s work spans both editorial and commercial markets across portraiture, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, product, and food foci. Commanding his bold aesthetic, he has worked with some of today's most notable talent for iconic brands and platforms. The ethos of his work is within his friendly approach on set — the relationship between artist, client, and subject is collaborative, allowing Matt to succeed in capturing real moments with the celebs we love. As for product and food photography, his polished lighting brings the details of a product or dish to life, as proven in his work for countless global brands. Retouching? Yep, he does that too, and has been called a ‘retouching wizard’ by leading creative directors. You can also watch him on both seasons of HBO MAX’s Undercover Underage as the Visuals Lead, a pivotal on-screen role where he uses his photography, retouching, and newly-found spy skills to make the internet a safer place for minors. When Matt’s not in the studio, he’s playing with his pups or adventuring with his husband. Follow along with @MattMonathPhoto on all social media!
